Help Center / FAQs
Frequently asked questions for serious IELTS practice.
Straight answers about live speaking sessions, early access, scoring, account access, and daily limits.
Getting Started
What you need before your first live lesson.
Do I need an account before trying IELTSdojo?
No. You can try Maya onboarding without signing in. Sign in or create an account when you want to save your recap, keep a personalized plan, continue from your progress, and use the 30-session daily early-access quota.
Which speaking modes are available?
You can launch a Full Mock Test or practise individual Speaking Parts 1, 2, and 3. The full mock runs all three parts as one continuous live session.
How long does each practice mode take?
Part 1 and Part 3 are designed for around 4 to 5 minutes each. Part 2 is around 3 to 4 minutes plus 1 minute of prep. The Full Mock Test is around 14 to 15 minutes.
Company & Account
Who operates IELTSdojo and how to manage your account.
Who operates IELTSdojo?
IELTSdojo is operated by Lexigram LTD. IELTSdojo is the focused webapp evolution of Lexigram's earlier AI English tutor work, now centred on IELTS Speaking practice.
How do I contact support?
Email nukul@ieltsdojo.com for help with account access, early access, live speaking sessions, privacy requests, or company verification questions.
How do I delete my account?
You can request account deletion from the Delete Account page or by emailing nukul@ieltsdojo.com with the subject line Account Deletion Request.
Live Sessions
Practical questions about microphones, timing, and the session flow.
Do I need headphones?
They are not mandatory, but they are strongly recommended. Headphones help keep the examiner audio out of your microphone and usually make the live session cleaner.
What happens in Speaking Part 2?
Part 2 includes a cue card, 1 minute of preparation time, and then an uninterrupted long turn. The product is built to preserve that exam-like structure.
What if my microphone is unavailable or blocked?
The ready-check lets you choose a microphone before the session starts. If the selected device fails, the app attempts to fall back to the default microphone. If browser microphone access is blocked or unsupported, the live session cannot begin until that is fixed.
Feedback & Scoring
What the scoring means and what the product does with session output.
Is the band score an official IELTS result?
No. IELTSdojo provides practice feedback aligned to IELTS speaking criteria. It is meant to show likely band-level signals and what to improve next, not replace official IELTS scoring.
What feedback is included during early access?
Full feedback is included during early access, including detailed breakdowns across fluency, vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation where the session has enough signal.
Are full speaking transcripts saved in my account?
Not as a user-facing long-term transcript history in the current webapp. Session data may still be processed transiently to run the live experience, troubleshoot issues, and monitor reliability.
Early Access
How free early access and daily session limits work.
How many live sessions can I use each day?
Every user path has a 30 live-session daily quota during early access. The quota resets each day, and saved results remain available after the cap is reached.
Do I need a payment card?
No. Early access does not require a payment card or subscription.
What happens when I reach the daily limit?
You cannot start another live speaking session until the daily reset, but you can still review your saved sessions and feedback.
Will paid plans come back later?
If paid plans are introduced later, any access or pricing change will be announced before it starts.
